BYK-1789 is a solvent-free, silicone-based defoamer for water-based thick films, quick-drying coatings, and adhesives. It improves defoaming and effectively prevents microfoam.

BYK-1789 is a very effective defoamer for water-based paints that is solvent-free. It particularly removes microfoam in thick film systems. BYK-1789 is also effective in fast-drying water-based systems. Additionally, it improves wetting of the paint on the substrate.
